Spiders All spiders are poisonous to some degree to humans and pets. In Arizona the black widow and brown recluse and the common tarantula are considered public health pests due to the toxicity of their venom. The tarantula’s venom is very mild and may only result in a bee sting like reaction. Still no fun to step on.
